Meet Tomatan, the Robot Who Feeds You Tomatoes While You Run

Ooooooh, Japan. What will you think of next? The newest invention from our planet’s strangest country is a wearable robot who slowly and deliberately serves you tomatoes as you run. The idea, put forth by Kagome, a company that (not surprisingly) specializes in tomato-based products, is that tomatoes have nutrients that will help marathoners and long-distance runners to the finish line… or as one┬ávideo explains, “Tomatoes are excellent with Sports… But why aren’t tomatoes eaten on the sports scenes? What is missing in tomatoes is just mobility.” Enter Tomatan, whose ever-present grin and backpack full o’ tomatoes are charming but not quite enough to make you forget that you are wearing an EIGHTEEN POUND robot on your shoulders whilst trying to run a marathon. That’s a recipe for a personal record if we’ve ever heard one.

How about a robot that feeds you NOODLES?!?! That would make for an interesting Noodle Eating Contest!
