Whether you’re training for the Peachtree Road Race or just trying to get some movement in, this week’s neighborhood interval runs will get your blood pumping. Remember to stay hydrated any time you face the summer heat!
1. Warm-up for 5 to 10 minutes with a variety of dynamic movements: jumping jacks, butt kicks, sky walks, and mobility drills.
2. Repeat the following for 30 minutes::
Run hard (80%) for 3 minutes.
Walk for 3 minutes.
Run hard for 2 minutes.
Rest for 2 minutes.
Run harder (90%) for 1 minute.
Rest for 1 minute.
3. Cool down with 10- to 15-minute stretch.
